Auvi-Q Reviews - What Is It?

WARNING: DO NOT BUY Auvi-Q Until You Read This Review!
Is it a Scam? Does It Really Work? Check Ingredients, Side Effects and More!

Kaleo is a pharmaceutical company involved in the development of new generation medical products. One of them is Auvi-Q (epinephrine injection, USP) which is designed to help its users and their caregivers to administer epinephrine in allergic emergencies. The latter ones can be life-threatening. Auvi-Q auto-injector requires a doctor's prescription for usage. It is meant to treat such allergic reactions as anaphylaxis in patients who are prone to experiencing serious allergic reactions. This injector contains epinephrine, a special treatment for severe allergic reactions that occur due to the exposure to allergens.

Auvi-Q can be used for immediate self administration but it cannot be used as a substitute of emergency medical care. It can be also administered by the caregiver. Ask for immediate medical help after using Auvi-Q which contains a single dose of epinephrine. There is an official website but it doesn't seem to be very informative as it contains little information about the product's ingredients and offers completely no data on possible side effects.

Ingredients of Auvi-Q - Does It Really Work? Is It a Scam?

As a matter of fact, the manufacturer of Auvi-Q does mention the main ingredient in the product, but they don't bother to describe its exact action. It is unknown what inactive ingredients are added to the product, that is why no one can say for sure that they are safe and effective for usage. To my mind, these components may be used in the wrong combination and may cause allergic reactions. There is no evidence proving the effectiveness and safety of the medication.

Auvi-Q

As it was already mentioned, Auvi-Q is an epinephrine auto-injector that possesses unique features. It was designed through the long way of analysis of cases where epinephrine was used. There was also a great input of the community. The goal of the company was to create the product that would meet the needs of all people who may need it. Kaleo staff are sure that the epinephrine auto-injector is accessible and affordable to all categories of patients. The staff claims that they have regular conversations with their clients and doctors to better understand their worries and concerns. They say to be working to address these worries in a way that is suitable for patients.

Their goal is to provide each patient with different options in terms of epinephrine auto-injectors. One of the options is to access the product at an affordable price, no matter if the patient has an insurance coverage. As it was already mentioned, Auvi-Q (epinephrine injection, USP) is a prescription medicine which can be used for the treatment of serious life-threatening allergic reactions, even anaphylaxis. It can be used by patients who are at risk for of severe allergic reactions.

Auvi-Q is meant for immediate administration which can be conducted on your own or by your caregiver. However, this treatment cannot be substituted by an emergency medical care. Ask for immediate medical treatment after using this product. Each item contains a single dose of epinephrine which should be injected into your outer thigh only. It can be injected through clothing if it is necessary. You can inject Auvi-Q to a young child. For doing this you are recommended to hold their leg in place before and during the injection. Try not to injure the child's leg. Do not inject into buttocks, veins, fingers, hands, toes, or feet. If you inject the medication into any other part of the body, ask for medical treatment immediately.

Some patients may develop infections at the injection site. This usually occurs during several days after an injection. Sometimes these infections can require serious medical help. Inform your healthcare provider or doctor as soon as possible if you have any symptoms at an injection site: swelling, redness, tenderness, or the area feels irritated or warm to the touch.

Customer Reviews - Does It Have Any Side Effects?

The manufacturer of Auvi-Q describes some side effects and adverse reactions of the product but very superficially. The medication is completely chemical, thus it can be dangerous for human health. It has an unnatural basis, thus, it can carry potential health dangers.

If you have some medical conditions, or take medicines on a regular basis, your medical condition may get worse or you may experience certain side effects when using Auvi-Q. Ensure to inform your doctor or healthcare provider about all your medical conditions and medicines you take, especially asthma medicines. Also talk to your healthcare provider about possible depression, Parkinson's disease, thyroid problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems or if you have any other medical conditions, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Epinephrine should be used with caution by patients with heart disease or those who are taking medicines for the treatment heart-related (cardiac) symptoms. Possible side effects may include irregular, fast, or "pounding" heartbeat, shakiness, sweating, headache, feelings of over excitement, paleness, nervousness, weakness, anxiety, dizziness, vomiting, nausea and breathing problems. Here are some of the testimonials left by real users of the product online.

"Auvi Q is basically a good product but there is one problem. The metal clasp at the belt hook fell off after about two weeks of using it. I put tape about the end and I hope it will work for a while."

"AuviQ is too expensive. Its cost is about $500. To my mind, this product should be better have a belt slot, not a belt clip. This clip can easily slip off the belt if you are not careful while using it. This rescue shot has to be ready for usage any moment."

"Auvi-Q is a good little rescue item but it does not substitute medical help. At the same time, it can be difficult to get one out, especially in an emergency situation. We ended up purchasing a completely different carrier."

Where To Buy Auvi-Q?

The product is currently unavailable on Amazon, GNC, Walmart, and other retail stores. It can be bought from the manufacturer only. It costs much money - about $500.

My Final Summary

I cannot recommend Auvi-Q to usage because it carries a lot of health dangers. You never know whether it will be more beneficial or on the contrary more harmful for your health. To my mind, it is better to call for immediate medical help without hesitation. Besides, this product has drawbacks when it comes to using it. It is also extremely expensive.
