Pamprin Reviews - What Is It?

WARNING: DO NOT BUY Pamprin Until You Read This Review!
Is it a Scam? Does It Really Work? Check Ingredients, Side Effects and More!

Pamprin is a product specially designed to relieve pain from such conditions as menstrual cramps, toothaches, muscle aches, or headaches (including migraine). It is a combination of acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine but, unfortunately, these components bring only a temporary relief. There are two forms of the product - Multi-symptom and Max Formula. Pamprin Maximum Strength Multi-Symptom contains three active ingredients: an antihistamine, a diuretic and a pain reliever. Pamprin Max contains caffeine and two pain relievers. More information about Pamprin can be found on the official website of the company. The site is not very informative, though. It offers very little information about the ingredients in the product and completely no information about possible side effects. Let us try to find out whether the product really works by looking at its active ingredients more closely.

Ingredients of Pamprin - Does It Really Work? Is It a Scam?

The official website of the supplement says that Pamprin Multi-symptom contains acetaminophen and aspirin to relieve pain by keeping your body from producing certain substances. Caffeine increases the effects of these two components and to relieve fatigue, bloating, and water weight gain. As it was already mentioned, Pamprin Maximum Strength Multi-Symptom contains three ingredients. A diuretic is added to combat bloating and water weight gain. An antihistamine is used to relieve irritability, while a pain reliever is added to reduce cramps, backaches, headaches, and muscular aches.

So, the active ingredients in Pamprin are Acetaminophen 250 mg and Magnesium salicylate (NSAID) 250 mg (in each caplet). Acetaminophen is used to relieve pain (from menstrual periods, headaches, toothaches, osteoarthritis, backaches, or cold/flu aches) and to decrease fever. This drug is said to have no side effects. But still if you have any negative effects, inform your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible. A very serious allergic reaction is rare but if you have any of the following symptoms: itching, rash, severe dizziness, swelling, trouble breathing.

Magnesium salicylate is added to the supplement to relieve pain from different conditions. It also reduces joint stiffness and swelling from arthritis. It is known to be a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). You may experience upset stomach or nausea. Be aware of the fact that this medication may increase your blood pressure. You are recommended to regularly check your blood pressure. More serious side effects may include heartburn, stomach pain, swelling of some body parts, hearing changes (decreased hearing or ringing in the ears), unexplained weight gain.

Stop taking magnesium salicylate if you experience any of the following side effects: pounding or fast heartbeat, kidney issues (change in the amount of urine), signs of infection (fever, sore throat), easy bruising or bleeding, yellow eyes or skin, dark urine, unusual tiredness, persistent nausea or vomiting, serious stomach or abdominal pain. Don't forget to inform your doctor of the issues. Some people may experience a serious allergic reaction to magnesium salicylate.

Very few people suffer from a very serious allergic reaction to Pamprin but you should look for immediate medical aid if it occurs. Its symptoms include: trouble breathing, itching, rash, swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness. You should also take into account some precautions before taking Pamprin. Talk to your doctor if you are allergic to any of the ingredients contained in the supplement or to aspirin or other NSAIDs (naproxen, ibuprofen, celecoxib); or to acetaminophen; or to other salicylates (choline salicylate); or to caffeine. "I think the manufacturer should put a longer list of side effects on the Pamprin bottle. I suffered from serious seizures after using this product which did not even reduce my cramps and backache during the period. I felt even worse. I took Advil but that didn't work well enough, so I had to wait silently until my sufferings finished."

"I bought Pamprin for my cramps, back aches and migraines, but I was extremely surprised when I opened the box and found out that the bottle was not properly sealed! I felt disappointment and disgust! I refused from uding the supplement but my husband decided to check it and took one pill. The pill did not work for his aches and pains."

"I have been suffering from cramps since fifteen and my condition has gotten worse over the years. I saw an advertisement about Pamprin on the Internet and I gave it a try. My first pill took long to work, but when at least it worked, this stuff gave me terrible stomach cramps and gas. It also constipated me."

Where To Buy Pamprin?

Pamprin is available at different retailers including CVS, Walgreenz, Amazon, Ingles, Walmart, Publix, GNC, etc. Here are the prices on Kmart: $8.99 for 40 caplets. 24 caplets cost $6.99. Pamprin Multi-Symptom Menstrual Relief (20 Count) costs $5.29.

My Final Summary

I don't think that Pamprin is the best way to get rid of menstrual cramps because it has a lot of drawbacks. It is often reported to have serious side effects. This product doesn't seem to be effective too. However, it is available on many different sources and is not very expensive. I would recommend you buying another medication to relieve your aches and pains.
