The unit features removable handles, a padded top, and adjustable, independent, spring-loaded pedals that are claimed to be able to help you sculpt your body, provide an intense cardiovascular workout and deliver strength. Compared to the original variant, this chair claims to deliver a lower price point, improved build quality, better ease of use, and availability in more colors. You will also get a series of workouts on DVD and step-by-step exercises. Is the Pro Chair the right option for those practicing Pilates? Is this a proven method for achieving your fitness goals? Is there any better competition? We are going to answer these and more questions within a few minutes to enable you to make a more informed decision.

The Pilates Pro Chair is made by Life's a Beach, Inc., based out of Los Angeles, CA. The company has been in business since 2010. The chair itself was invented by President and CEO David Krieff. The man also works as President and CEO of Destiny Productions, LLC. The official website says that its upside-down V-shaped legs provide support, with sculpting handles, a padded cushion on top, and two spring-loaded steps in the middle. The springs can be adjusted to regulate resistance, based on your fitness level. The chair can be used doing fast or flowing motions to strengthen your core. You can focus on the areas you want to work, while chiseling your shoulders and arms and strengthening your back. The company says that your entire body will be engaged but whether it is true we will find out further.

Customer Reviews - Does Pilates Pro Chair Really Work?

Pilates Pro Chair

The first red flag about the product is that the company behind it is not reputable or popular on the field. The official website of the company is low informative. It is said that each Pilates Pro Chair weighs about 40 pounds and measures 28" W x 32" L x 23" H without handles, and 53" H with handles. These two models can support up to 300 pounds. Another drawback of the unit is that it is not simple to use the device. It is a serious piece of equipment that will need maximum of your strength and physical abilities. You may need some time to get comfortable on it. Probably this is the reason why the product comes with a weeklong program. The Pilates Pro Chair Program involves a number of Workouts for you to complete.

Pilates Basics is a 20-minute video in which instructor Jennifer Galardi will walk you through the chair's features and tell you how to use it. Total Body Workout lasts for 48 minutes and is said to help you work your shoulders, chest, arms, thighs, hips, and core. Core, Buns, and Thighs Makeover Workout is a 37-minute video involving a series of exercises that will tone your buns, thighs, and core, as well as elevate your heart rate. Total Dream Body Workout lasts for 57 minutes and is based on "cardio blasts" to chisel your hips, abs, thighs, arms, butt, and shoulders. Sculpt and Tone (32 minutes) is meant when you need a light workout day since it combines light cardio with sculpting moves. Susan Lucci's Favorite Moves (28 minutes) are workout moves from simple to intense.

Pilates Pro Chair has a big number of customer reviews on third-party websites. Between QVC.com and Amazon, we encountered about three hundred combined customer reviews with an average rating of 3.5 stars. While some users appreciated their purchase, others did not at all. The most common complaints seemed to revolve ineffective results (no weight loss, etc.), difficulty of use, too sturdy construction of the unit, high price and less-than-stellar build quality. It is high time to read some of the testimonials from actual users of the product.

"I had been watching Pilates ProChair for at least six months to a year. I had a reformer I really liked but I sold it when changing my place of living. This chair turned out to be a real waste of money! It does not work like the reformer. It took me an hour to unpack it, remove the wrapping and set it up. Then I tried to work out with the first video but I did not feel any effects. It is also very noisy because the springs rattle against the frame. Besides, it gave me neck strain. It is better to workout simply on the floor!"

"PilatesPro Chair is certainly not for beginners. It arrived as described but without assembly instructions. I did not receive the color I ordered. This piece of equipment requires some strength and flexibility to complete the basic workout. There was a half inch bolt loose in the box, and I could not figure out where it comes from. The floor exercises require a mat. The chair itself is poorly constructed and is made from cheap materials! It is not worth the money"

"I didn't get to use my Pilates Pro Chair for very long. I had already thrown the box away when I decided to send back. I didn't get the workout I expected I would. Now the staff stays in the locked position. I feel very disappointed because I really was looking forward to using it. I would better do floor Pilates on my rebounder I bought from Walmart for just $25. It allows me to jog indoors. I can do more rebounder exercises for both strength and cardio. That chair is not worth the money for sure. Do not buy it"

Where To Buy Pilates Pro Chair?

The chair can be bought from the official company's website. It is available in Conch Shell, Sea Glass, and Ocean Waves colors. The Max model adds Full Moon, Sebastian, Bikini Bottom, and Sunrise. It also comes with additional two workout DVDs. You can currently buy both models through QVC and Amazon. The Max version is only available on QVC. Pro Chair costs $220, while Max Chair is priced at $210. Replacement parts (sculpting handles and springs) can be bought from $59 to $79. The refund policy is based on the retailer you are purchasing the chair from. The company backs all chairs with a six-month warranty. To request a refund, you will have to send a message through the company's website contact form or call at (310) 443-4271.

My Final Summary

Pilates Pro Chair comes with mixed feedback, even though the company behind the product has been in business for years. There is a six-month warranty, and the retailers support it with 30-day refund policies. It seems to be a highly priced Pilates chair on the market, but if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you will need to pay for the shipping to send it back. The product is associated with many customers' complaints. It seems not to be worth the money it costs. Pilate Pro Chair has many competitors at the time for you to choose from, which is why I cannot recommend this product to buying.
